The Facts

Melanoma is a rare but serious form of skin cancer. In the United States, approximately 60,000 people are diagnosed with melanoma each year, and almost 8,000 people die of the disease. It's important to know that melanoma only has its most serious consequences if it goes undiagnosed. It's fairly easy to recognize and is highly treatable if caught early.
